power backup for aquarium
I bought this after the hurricane & we lost power & most of my saltwater fish died. I have 2 tanks so I bought this to keep the flow pumps working. So far it works great. It tells you how long the pumps will run before the backup power is depleted. very satisfied.

Great value
I’ve needed a UPS for years and never gotten one because I dislike the common ones with lead-acid batteries that are good for a year or two tops. This model has a far superior Lithium-iron-phosphate battery that should (fingers crossed) provide many years of solid service.I generally run my desktop, monitors, and internet equipment on this and it happily supplies 250-500W of power without complaints and without much fan noise. It has approximately 250 watt* hours of battery capacity so it could run my standard set up for 30-60 minutes which is great, but I’ve really come to appreciate that it can also supply 40-50W for 5+ hours! During the 12 days we were without power due to hurricane Helene this UPS became really useful as supplemental power allowing me to run my laptop, charge phones, etc. even when the generator was off. My typical routine was to run the generator from early morning to lunch, then again late afternoon till bed. In the 5-6 hours midday when we had no power this UPS let me keep my laptop and cellphone charged and operating through the rest of the work day.As far as I’m concerned, this thing paid for itself in those 2 weeks and the next 5+ years of service in its intended role as a UPS are just bonus now.I would note this is not intended to be used as I described with charging and discharging daily. For one it takes about 5 hours to fully charge the batteries, and secondly it beeps constantly when operating without grid power. This makes sense as a UPS where you’re expected to want to know power is lost and quickly shut everything down safely, but it was pretty irritating when trying to use it to sustain small loads for an extended period of time. I wish it had a mute button, but if I have to use it that way again I’ll just put it in a closet and run an extension cord.

Great product – need a permanent silence button
I have owned several APC battery backups. I went through batteries on them over time, and got tired of having to replace them. I heard good reviews on this different technology so I tried this! It seems like good quality and a lot of outlets for battery backup.The one thing that I am very disappointed in is that there is no silent mode. You can silence the beeping once power is disrupted, but since I use this in a bedroom, this could be annoying for a nighttime power outage.

Stable Source of Power
My desktop PC was having issues on startup; the monitor would flicker and blink on & off for a few seconds. This lasted for about a minute before it would settle out. I attributed that to either an issue with the monitor, the video card, or power supply in the PC. My CyberPower backup died and I replaced it with this Goldenmate UPS. The startup problems with my PC immediately disappeared. The CyberPower UPS was the culprit and I never even suspected that as a potential cause. I highly recommend the Goldenmate as a battery backup/surge protector as it’s been performing well for the past few months that I’ve been using it.

Initially had as very positive review of this UPS, however, the fan on this model is very annoying and near max capacity it tends to briefly cut power when switching to battery making it near useless as UPS. It’s very much interruptible.

Great battery backup!!!
I have QNAP, switch, modem and router all hooked into my Goldenmate UPS!!! Iâve lost electricity and it did hold up over 20 mins as the power bank went down and finally shutoff everything. Gave plenty of time to allow everything to properly shutdown avoiding data corruption and loss! Itâs a diy task that takes merely minutes. My QNAP is louder than the Goldenmate. Well worth the bucks with a sound peace of mind. Enjoy!!!

Works well, But…
UPS Works as expected. Not very heavy either. However it gives off a very high pitch whine. Not sure if this is normal or I have a defective unit.
