DP cable a REQUIREMENT for 4K viewing on some DELL computers!
Purchased cable is fine, works well and very ‘ruggedly’ built. It allows my new DELL monitor to provide 4K clarity, via the DP port connections on both the computer and monitor.HDMI output from brand new DELL computer does NOT support 4K output, only 1080 fidelity.Sadly, the new DELL computer, while providing cables for HDMI connection, does NOT include a cable necessary for 4K viewing, i.e. a DP port to DP port cable.
