Love this mouse! Huge upgrade from my G402
Before buying this mouse, I was a G402 user since 2015 and as most button switches including the primary ones reached EOL. I was definitely sure that my next upgrade’s gonna be the renowned G502 series.I was very excited when Logitech announced the new G502X but due to the pricing, I wanted to try the older G502 Hero first when it went on sale at $35 recently. The G502 Hero felt pretty similar to G402 in terms of ergonomics with small improvements in accessibility of side buttons. But I felt the mouse was heavy even without the weights and didn’t like the metal scroll wheel. Even the RGB fun faded off just after a few hours and honestly found it distracting. (After 3 days of using). So I wanted to try the wired G502X as well and decided to return one of them at the end. After trying out the G502X, I felt the improvements addressed every shortcoming G502 Hero and G402 did for me.The new shape offers much better support to the left part of palm (Just below index finger) with some increased height there. The DPI shift button, the side buttons, especially the ones next to left click felt even more accessible and practical to use them more than ever before. The new switches feel more clicky, tactile and satisfying but needs a bit more effort to click. Should see how long these switch will last in the long run.The lightened scroll wheel with rubber grip feels more mature, the feel of ratcheted mode is lighter yet snappy and satisfying. Can assign custom scroll functions. And the overall aesthetic feels really mature and evolved, ready for the future.I usually have a mixture of palm and finger grip and the mouse perfectly fits in with the improvement in right part of the palm (Just below index finger) support and quickly got used to the feel of mouse (Usually a few minutes of break-in time). The skates are much larger and a huge step-up. The mouse glides much smoother which complements well with the lighter weight of mouse (Lighter than both G402 and G502 hero). But also, the wired G502X is expensive, no RGB but most notably the cable is a bit worrisome. I still would prefer the wired version just for the years of life one can squeeze out without worrying about battery wear. Finally, I returned the G502 Hero and am gonna use the G502X for the coming years. Despite the price, I don’t regret it. It’s an agile mouse with a ton of functionality. If you are upgrading from an older mouse like me or a lower-end/basic one, go directly for this. But if you’re already happy with the older G502/similar, need for this mouse is much weaker and it’s up to you.Thank you for reading so far. Happy holidays!

    Outstanding
This is an excellent mouse. It might not be the absolute best mouse for competitive gaming, but it still performs very well. Rtings ranks this as the “best wired mouse” which it absolutely deserves. Tracking is excellent and the ergonomics are great. The rubber grips are nicer and don’t wear out quickly like my G403/G703 did. Given that it uses optical switches, I expect it to not start double-clicking like all my other Logitech mice, but we’ll see about that. The best part about it is the amount of buttons and general utility it provides for non-gaming tasks. The scroll wheel unlocks and can spin at high speeds, and it can tilt left and right for horizontal scrolling. You have three thumb buttons, two extra buttons next to the left mouse button, and a middle button below the scroll wheel toggle. All of the buttons can be rebound, and you can also have an extra “layer” of buttons that can be switched to when a specific button is held (I use the “sniper” button for this). This means you get a ton of easily-accessible shortcuts which makes navigating web pages or documents very convenient. Some people consider wired mice “outdated” but never having to charge or worry about the battery or if your dongle has good reception is why I moved away from wireless. The cable is very thin and light so you barely notice it. There’s also no RGB, which isn’t a deal-breaker for me but some might find it disappointing.

Tested many mice, the price tag and Logitech offering as a brand is a joke.
Bought this mouse at a “Sale price” of $49.99….. Comparing to the quality feel of the original 502 this 502X mouse feels cheap but the scroll mouse issue is much improved with the wheel made of plastic and rigid notching when scrolling (too rigid) but this solution of hanging the scroll wheel not as soft as the latter comes with a noisy scroll wheel. The infinite scroll feature however has been changed, the mouse wheel no longer spins freely as before, it seems now scroll wheel has a motion sensor which senses how aggressive the of a scroll motion you apply similar to a touch screen so if you are buying this mouse for the infinite scroll feature it seems less useful or accurate on this model as the mouse wheel does not physically spin freely as before. Considering the lack of RGB on this mouse it should be sold at $29.99 price point when comparing to generic and even small brand names such a Red Dragon mice. 25k hero sensor is simply a gimmick, most users don’t need more than 8k DPI on their mouse and even then when not changing the computer mouse speed the default DPI for most users is set at 3500 – 4500. I generally go up to 6000 DPI playing COD.The switches used are acceptable and the mouse is overall good for any task office gaming etc… but I’ve tested generic mice which offer much simpler programing software and on board memory which are better or equal in quality to this one and other “Brand Name” overpriced variety. You can set custom DPI with Logitech memory manager if you want to avoid GHUB. Hope this helps.

    Great mouse
The mouse came perfectly well packaged with all the necessary items that logitech specified in the product. Mouse feels great, perfect quality, the software let you assign multiple keys, macros, anything you need. For gaming, very precise sensor. For the money i believe that, the price it’s a little too high for qhat you have. The white color is very elegant, but it did not provides rgb lights.

A really good and lightweight mouse, excellent for office work and gaming.Overall rating : 9/10Pros:-High DPI range from 80 to 24000-Lots of reprogrammable buttons-Ergonomic shape makes it comfortable to use for long periods-A good quality mouse wheel that can either spin freely, allowing you to quickly scroll through documents, or more granularity when you need more precision-Logitech G Hub app allows you to set different key profiles for different apps, and allows you to link different keyboard macros to buttons on the mouseCons:-The lack of RGB might be seen as something bad by some, but personally I think the mouse is great even without it-The free scroll mode for the wheel is harder to control precisely, and is really sensible to the slightest movement-For the price, a detachable cable would be better

SO after purchasing the wired version of the g502x and using it for a while i have some things to say about it.There is a lot on this mouse to like, and some minor things that could be improved but overall fantastic mouse. I never personally owned the original g502 but i used it often so ill try to compare them the best i can.Pros:-amazing comfort and shape for long use times-very good accuracy and response time with a 1000hrz polling rate-completely customizable settings for al of the programmable buttons and ability to change dpi levels-is capable of storing 2 entire profiles with different buttons and dpi levels programmed for each one changeable via the G9 button (basically instead of programming a mouses buttons once you can have 2 separate profiles you can swap in between.-the two profiles can be stored onboard the mouse and used with any pc with onboard memory-optical switches give a faster response time and make faulty double clicking impossible-dpi shift button can be changed or removed to become flush with mouse.-infinity scroll wheel-lightest g502 ever weighing less than a g203 at only 84 grams still keeping the same great build quality. massive difference from g502s lowest weight at 132gramsCons:-mouse skates are scratchy brand new and take a few hours of use to become perfectly smooth with round edges-dpi light has been moved in front of the scroll wheel and now changes color instead of the shifting led on the g502 that was on the side, which for most people including me is a pro but for those who are colorblind might be hard to tell what dpi you are on.-no rgb (which for me is arguably a pro)-no more adjustable weightsoverall this is an amazing mouse and my favorite g502 ever but to those who miss the rgb and weights of the normal g502 it might not be. personally never cared for either of those features so I consider this mouse an awesome upgrade to the original g502.

This is the absolute perfect mouse for my 131 grip. I developed this habit using Logitech MX518. The only other mouse that I used for prolonged period of time was Superlight G Pro X that developed a fault with its scroll wheel after 8 months. G502X also has another one of my favourite features – infinite scroll wheel. It still works perfectly even though now they use less metal in it compared to the G502 Hero and Proteus Core. The reason why they did this is to shave off 30 grams, which makes this mouse very lightweight considering its size and number of buttons. Highly recommended.
