A Cable without Compatibility or Durability Issues that Supports the Latest Standards
My previous experience with a Maxonar product was with an HDMI-to-display port adapter. It worked great for several years. I decided to try them again since I needed a durable, quality USB-C cable that delivers the flexibility to connect to different USB-C devices, charge at high rates, and communicate using the latest USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 standards. I have a 2020 Mac Mini, 2024 Macbook Air, Google Pixel, iPhone, and iPad. I use a Thunderbolt 4 dock and a monitor with a USB-C port that supports power delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode.I have not had any trouble interconnecting any of those devices in several configurations. I’ve reached the maximum charge for the devices that require charging. It’s a thick cable that feels well-built and so far has handled everyday use. While I lack testing equipment to verify full compatibility with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 standards, I have not encountered any behavior suggesting incompatibility that would impact my use cases. My data transfer speeds are at the expected speeds for the respective hardware.While it can charge all my phones and tablets to up to 100W, I cannot charge my phones with a case on because the connector housing is too large to fit through a phone case’s port opening. But this cable wasn’t intended for phones. It was made for computers, hard drives, connecting monitors, etc. It does all that very well so far.I like the packaging and presentation. It’s nicely packed in a well-presented box instead of loose in a thin zip-lock-type bag. The connectors were protected with plastic covers. I recommend this to anyone who needs a well-built USB-C cable that supports USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 but doesn’t want to break the bank.

High quality for quick charging cable
Quality is top-notch as you’d expect from this cable. This is a well made full function USB-C cable with high power (up to 100 watts) charging capability. I’ve tested it with a 100 watt USB C charger and laptop computer. It worked perfectly well with both.

I relied on other amazon reviews before ordering this. Haven’t tested its USB4/TB4 compatibility myself yet, waiting for some other products to arrive. But so far so good. Cable looks and feels high quality and the pricing is very good. If I find anything wrong with it, will update the review.

Don’t move your Macbook Pro with this connected
I’m connecting my 2021 16″ Macbook Pro to a dock using this cable. It performs great. However, if you bump or move the laptop it can lose connection for a brief second, causing the screen to shut off and all the windows to shuffle around back to singe display mode. It’s incredibly annoying. Once or twice this disconnection caused a crash and I had to do a hard reboot, which is concerning.I tested an Apple Thunderbolt cable to see if it was the cables fault. The Apple cable snaps in place and no amount of movement caused a loss of connection. Currently it’s impossible to find a long enough Apple cable though…I ended up mounting my laptop on a boom arm to position it next to my monitor. Since it doesn’t move when in this position, I’ve gone back to using this cable and it’s working just fine. It’s connecting my computer to a hub where it runs a 4K display and about 8 USB devices, including a 4K capture card without any issues.So for my current use, this cable is legit. But if you might move your laptop, however slightly, I’d go with an Apple cable if possible.

I bought the shorter length. This came is very thick and stiff compared to phone charger cables. It does not bend well! That said, I didn’t buy it to be bendy. I bought it to power a switch portable dock, and it does that perfectly. I’ve had mine for a couple months now, and there are still 0 fraying, kinking, or weak plug issues. It stays plugged tightly into whatever device I’ve used it with, and does not get hot or smell like burned metal. It is a fabric outer sheath, so keep away from pets that like to chew cables, they will get a nasty shock. In that case you should seek out steel reinforced cables.

Works with UAD arrow and plugable
Window 11, asrock steel legend x670e, thunderbolts 4 AlC 2.0 card.It works withs UAD Arrow interface. Difficult to connect UAD interface with Windows thunderbolt system compared to Mac. But happy this worked.I tried with USB 4 it did not worked.

This is an excellent TB4 cable that is gives you premium quality at a great price. It’s long enough to fit most cases and also both firm and malleable which allow it to run the cable however you want.Pros:- Very strong cable that is also very malleable- Very fast and solid connection, with great output delivery- The cable is both simple and stylish, giving it a premium look and feel- Most reasonably priced high quality TB4 cable I foundCons:- No cable velcro for when the cable is wound upAll in all, this is a great 6.6ft TB4 cable and although it may be one of the cheapest prices at this length, it is one of the most premium cables that I have ever owned.

Brilliant, bulletproof bit of kit. I’ve owned mine for 2 years now and its literally unbreakable. You save yourself a fortune in the long run. My partner goes through several £2.99 cables per year. Wasteful and expensive behaviour if you ask me. Get this Cable instead, it’s beautiful and never tangles and never lets you down!
