I was looking to use these for my iPhone 16 to use lightning headphones. I didnât realize, until I got these, they do not support audio; therefore microphones and headphones do not work with these on my iPhone 16. These do work; however, for charging the iPhone 16 with a lightning charger. I cannot fault the company, because this was clearly noted in the ad.

Saved the Day for an old guy!
I have an old laptop with a lot of memory that still runs well. Occasionally, I need to add external drives, thumb drives, SD cards, HDMI cables, etc. to move files or set up for video-making. I had purchased an little extender device with a whole bunch of slots for these drives, but it only came with a USB-C cable to go into the (did I mention “old”?) laptop. I just added one of these babies to the computer and now I am back in business. Also, I use these so I can charge my phone with a USB-C to USB-C cable to my old USB-Old! battery packs while I’m out backpacking. They work very well and didn’t cost a whole lot – and you get 4 of them, 2 in one configuration and 2 in another. Great little gadgets!

They work, but
These have allowed me to use a whole bunch of lightning cables that would otherwise be unusable for my new iPhone and it is easy to switch the cable back and forth. But it doesn’t end up as secure as a regular cable. You have to use it where the cable won’t be under heavy stress or it might separate or lose connection. But, for standard use, it will probably work fine.
